A short film by German born, Dutch based director and choreographer Meli Kuhn, featuring the DansSpelFilmensemble Meli Kuhn. http://melikuhn.com The difficulties to communicate in human relationships are the thematic focus of this film. Seven characters explore this theme in moments of loneliness and togetherness. The film’s settings are the ruins of an ancient church reduced to bare walls. A Wall seperates or it encloses. On one hand it points at a barrier between two people. On the other hand it defines the space where an individual has to place itself. Communication requires us to cross these barriers while, paradoxically, it seems that at the same time our happiness depends on keeping these barriers intact. The film is accompanied by a musical score, especially composed by Ali Helnwein.
