This is a short narrative film produced as part of a research project investigating the limits of different tracking systems on an XR-stage. The story follows Ana, a teenage Ukrainian violinist one week before the most important audition of her life, as a bombing raid interrupts her late-night practice session. The film carries a message that matters: do not lose hope. Art as resistance.

Because the research requires testing multiple tracking systems, the film is shot several times across 7-10 days, giving cast members significantly more on-set time and footage than a typical short film production. The project is run by a professional crew working alongside students, using top-tier XR equipment.

We are looking for a young woman between 18 and 24 with a Slavic/Ukranian accent in English who plays a musical instrument that can be carried. (If you feel like you fit the role but don't play an instrument, still feel free to reach out we can always look for alternatives.) Ana is a dedicated, emotionally alive young musician who is working toward an important competition. She is one week away from everything she has trained for when the war arrives at her door.

A Western European volunteer music teacher who chose to come to Ukraine and stayed. Warm but direct, calm under pressure, carrying a quiet authority earned through purpose. She cannot stop the war, but she can keep Ana playing. Music experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
