GREEN CLOUDS (a short film by Nirit Peled) takes place inside a near-future medical facility where sunlight itself has become a form of treatment. Patients wait together in a calm, everyday hospital until an unexpected eclipse slowly transforms the space. As ordinary reality gives way to speculative fiction, several women leave the waiting room and embark on an impossible journey beyond Earth. The film approaches illness not as something tragic or pitiful, but as a space of vulnerability, strength, beauty and transformation. We are interested in lived bodies, individuality and presence rather than idealised appearances.

We are looking for four women, approximately 40–60, to play the principal cast of GREEN CLOUDS, an atmospheric science-fiction film exploring illness, care, transformation and the body.
These four women gradually emerge from a hospital waiting room and become the emotional centre of the film. Through small gestures, shared observation and moments of stillness, they form a quiet alliance before collectively leaving the hospital and embarking on an impossible journey.

Wat bieden wij?
We offer the opportunity to be part of an ambitious and visually distinctive short film by filmmaker Nirit Peled, exploring the body, illness, care and transformation through a unique science-fiction world. The project brings together professional actors, non-professional performers and artists in a collaborative and creatively driven environment.

The fee is modest, but we hope to offer a meaningful artistic experience, professional production conditions and the opportunity to contribute to a bold and unconventional film.

These four women gradually emerge from a hospital waiting room and become the
emotional centre of the film. Through small gestures, shared observation and moments of
stillness, they form a quiet alliance before collectively leaving the hospital and embarking
on an impossible journey.
We are looking for authentic, distinctive presence rather than conventional acting
looks.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Women aged approximately 40–60 y/o
• Professional actors and non-professional performers
• All body types and backgrounds
• Strong expressive physical presence
• Ability to communicate through stillness, gesture and minimal dialogue
• Subtle emotional range
• Comfort with physical performance
• Dancers and movers are very welcome
• Women with shaved heads or baldness are especially encouraged to apply
• Visible scars, prosthetics or medical devices are warmly welcomed
• Diversity of age and lived experience is important to us
Previous acting experience is welcome, but not essential.
Comfort with partial nudity is a plus, depending on the role and costume. Any such
requirements will be discussed clearly in advance.
