It explores privileged, self-centred men from the West, and how their belief in their own superiority progressively solidifies into a form of normative truth.
Now You See It, Now You Don’t, is a reference to politicians who continue to lie even when confronted with indisputable facts.

My name is Jonn Schlemayer, I am a Swedish 39 years old photographer and artist based in Rotterdam, currently studying for a Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Art, the Hauge. My work is conceptual and centres on political themes, alienation and different aspects of truth.
Before my studies started autumn 2026, I worked as a commercial photographer in Oslo, before that as a Grip and Best boy in London and Vancouver.

- A man, 45–70 years old. Bald, or with short hair.
- Owns a navy blue, grey or black suit (jacket and white long-sleeve shirt).
The photograph portrays a man wearing a wig with straight black hair and bangs. He is hiding something underneath it and try to look perfectly normal. The unusually high forehead makes him look somewhat silly though. See sketch.
