De Kuil is a darkly comedic thriller about a woman who goes to the beach with her family but feels overwhelmed by her role as a mother. She starts digging a hole in the sand, hoping to escape from the pressure and responsibilities around her. What begins as a strange and almost humorous attempt to get away slowly turns into something darker and more unsettling.
