For a third-year film from the Netherlands Film Academy, we are looking for a Dutch actor who wants to fulfill the story of our Romanian main character.

Working title: Through The Night

Story:
Main character Doru struggles with shame and guilt for leaving his family in poverty while building a successful life in Amsterdam. He avoids contact with his sister to avoid being reminded of the past, and tries to continue to avoid the sadness and guilt about his dying mother. In the sometimes lonely city of Amsterdam he seeks distraction and escape, caught between two worlds he cannot reconcile. However, the approaching death of his mother forces him to face his past, which confronts him with the realization that he could never fully escape where he came from.

What do we offer?
A really fun collaboration with a great team and a nice project for your portfolio. The intention is to eventually show the film at film festivals.
