Welcome to our casting list for the Aetheri short film and ball! We are happy to see that you want to be part of our cast for this original concept that brings the world of film and fantasy to a real life ball.

This project is both a fantasy ball and a short film. A short film will be recorded that takes place prior to the ball. The film will be split up in short clips that will be posted online and the last part of the film will be performed live at the ball itself.

The story in short:
The Aetheri kingdom is readying itself to open its doors to the annual ball, but during the preparations, something gets stolen from the king’s vault. Kyra gets put on the task to retrieve the object, but not without any hurdles…

Description
We are looking for talented actors that can bring our characters to life. Not only on camera, but also live during the ball event itself. At the ball, you will become the character you have played in the short film and interact with people as said character.

Kyra (main character)
Daughter of the captain of the guard

“Kyra is the daughter of the captain of the guard, she grew up training and fighting with the other male guards. She is the only female guard in the regiment, but this doesn’t stop her from becoming one of the greatest fighters. She is sent on a special mission by her father to retrieve an object that got stolen.”

Madina
The queen of the kingdom

“The queen of the kingdom, who married the king at a very young age. She walks with grace and her people love her. She cares about her kingdom very much. Her relationship with the king is complicated, but she tries to make this marriage work.”

“Theon is the captain of the guard and the king’s closest guard. He is a strong and disciplined man who cares a lot about his squad, his regiment is like a family to him. He has a daughter called Kyra, who started her training to join the regiment at the age of six. He trained her himself and is an incredibly proud father.”

Godrick

“Godrick is the king of Aetheri. He was forced to marry Medina at a young age. He once cared for her but that changed over the years. He is always on his own and doesn’t have an heir, which makes the people unsure about the future of the kingdom. Because of his attitude and the choices he made over the years, he is more hated than loved by his people.”

“Azure was the king’s most trusted advisor for years until one day, he and the king had a big fallout and Azure walked out. He was never seen again. Azure spent his time travelling and increasing his knowledge, eventually stumbling upon a group of pirates which welcomed and respected him for his knowledge. He joined them and he has been a pirate ever since.”

Raden
Captain of the pirates
Traits: Loyal, steadfast, courageous, confident, true leader

“Raden is the captain of his ship, his crew is like family to him. He met each of them on his many adventures until he ended up with a crew that would follow him to the end. He is only loyal to his crew and does not trust anyone outside of it.”

“These three pirates are free for you as an actor to fill in! The story behind them, their personality traits, etc. They are loyal to Raden and have been in his crew for some years. They are like family to each other. Surprise us and bring these pirates to life!”

Important notice: these three pirates will be the party makers at the ball. You should not be afraid to dance with strangers and to improvise.
