Story: This intense and daring tale centers on three young people caught in a love triangle of passion, jealousy and obsession, ultimately leading to a violent denouement. Maya, a charming and vivacious young woman, tries to break free from an increasingly toxic relationship with her domineering and abusive boyfriend, Niels. Meanwhile, Julius, an introverted and obsessive young man, falls increasingly under Maya’s spell. When tensions between Maya and Niels escalate, Julius arrives just in time, ready to be the “hero,” but too late to save anything. The story ends explosively in a violent confrontation in which Maya is forced to shoot Niels to save herself.

Maya (Female, college age):
A charismatic, energetic young woman who is the eye-catcher in any room. Maya is cheerful and spontaneous, but her relationship with Niels shows her vulnerable and troubled side. For this role it is important to convey both softness and strength. Maya's character is complex, with layers of emotion and struggle. Actress must be comfortable with both intimate and intense scenes, expressing both love and violent violence.

Niels (Male, student age):
Muscular, confident young man who is seen as a kind of “idol” by Julius. Niels is charming, but has a dark side. He is both protective and possessive of Maya and his behavior escalates to violence. Actor must be able to convey physical intensity while embodying the manipulative, violent side of his character. Actor must be comfortable with physical, intense scenes.

Julius (Male, college age):
A somewhat antisocial, obsessive boy with a vulnerable side. Julius is bad at social contacts and quickly loses himself in his obsession with Maya. He sees Niels as someone he looks up to, but also as a rival. This role requires an actor who can portray expressive facial expressions and convincingly convey the tension between admiration and jealous obsession.
