The project "The Lawyer in Me" is a short film that tells the story of Elly, a young woman born in 1882 into a wealthy family. Her father, Johannes, is a successful lawyer. Despite the limitations imposed by her gender, Elly dreams of becoming a lawyer herself. When her father is arrested for fraud on her 18th birthday, Elly discovers that she must seize her chance to realize her dream. She starts looking for ways to gain access to a law degree, with the aim of taking over her father's law firm and embracing the role of a female lawyer. This story is not only about a fight for justice, but also about breaking through societal and gender limitations. The aim of this project is to create a historically inspired short film that explores the themes of ambition, perseverance and gender equality. The project aims to raise awareness of the obstacles women in the 19th century had to overcome to achieve their professional ambitions, and the importance of equal opportunities for women in all professions. The film is intended for a broad audience and will have both educational and emotional impact. It is a short film of 10-15 minutes that follows the story arc of Elly. This project concerns a low-budget film production that is realized in collaboration with five students of Hogeschool Inholland Rotterdam.

Description
We are currently looking for;
a leading actress, the young version of Elly, around 18 years old, a little older or younger is not a problem;
We also need an older version of this; Elly will then be around 30 years old;
we also need her parents; Johannes, this is a man of about 45 years old;
Marietje, she is the mother of Elly and will be about 40 years old;
Bert, this is Johannes' best friend, this is a man of about 45 years old;
Hans is a library employee and is in love with Elly, he is about 20 years old;
Loes works at the university where Elly is going to study, she is over 40 years old.
