"Inside/Outside" is a 10-minute story that captures two days in the life of a young mail courier. Her life seems idyllic — cycling through the city and interacting with its residents. But her route hides a secret: she watches her estranged father from a distance, hoping for a chance to reconnect.

We're looking for actors for various roles in our production.

Main role

“Bo”
Age: 19-25 years old / female
Appearance: European
Description: Kind and friendly, Bo enjoys talking to
strangers but struggles to let anyone into her life. She avoids
romantic relationships out of fear of rejection. Previously, Bo lived with her mother in a small town, but she recently moved in with her grandmother, who resides in the center of a larger city. Her parents separated when she was 8 years old, and she has hardly seen her father since then. Uncertain about her future, Bo has taken a temporary job at the post office, which seems to fit her current lifestyle.

Secondary roles

“Noah”
Age: between 40-50 years old / male
Appearance: European
Description: He’s a former theater actor and director who is now focused on teaching. Humorous and charismatic, Noah commands attention in any room he enters. He enjoys joking around and often wears fun, colorful clothing. Noah is gay and currently single. His past relationships have failed due to his fear of commitment. Like Bo, Noah harbors an underlying fear of abandonment that prevents him from fully accepting love from others.

“Filip”
Age: between 23-30 years old / male
Appearance: European
Description: His parents are Polish emigrants, and he helps his father with the family construction business. Although he has lived in the Netherlands from a young age, he still struggles to find his place in society and feels obligated to support his parents.
Filip is interested in creative professions and self- expression but has never envisioned making a living from them. He is spontaneous and straightforward, unafraid to show affection to others.

Description: appears in the scene where her father plays with her at home.
Note: if the child’s father can play her screen father, it would be a big plus.

“Old man”
Age: between 60-80 years old / male
Appearance: not important
Description: appears in two scenes alongside the main role Bo, who delivers his paper on the porch. He’s grumpy and has signs of dementia.

“Two elderly women”

Extras
We are also looking for extras to contribute to our project of varying ages and backgrounds. The film will be shot în multiple locations in Utrecht and we are looking for people to play extras in the background and take part in this beautiful, fun project.
