HAUSFRAU is a bold 20-minute dark satire that explores the absurdities of modern domestic life, societal expectations and personal identity.

The story follows Isa, a young art school graduate on her 25th birthday, as she struggles to balance the suffocating expectations of her marriage and role as a housewife with her own creative ambitions. With striking visuals and a layered narrative, HAUSFRAU is as much a critique of societal norms as it is an intimate portrait of one woman's search for authenticity. We are inviting viewers to question the roles women are often expected to fulfill and what happens when those expectations clash with individual freedom. This is an opportunity to work with a passionate creative team and be part of a thought-provoking and bright project.

Isa: woman, age 25 (actor 20-26) a vibrant but conflicted young woman on the edge of transformation.
Dean: man, age 24 ( actor 20-26) the well-meaning yet complacent husband.
Maria: woman, age 40s/50s (actor 40s/50s) loving mother of Isa, realised she doesn’t want her daughter following her footsteps.
