Logline:
On her birthday, a young woman is confronted with supernatural phenomena in her home – until it turns out the real horror is inside her own mind.

Synopsis:
Sara celebrates her birthday – alone again. But this year is different. As soon as she blows out the candles, the atmosphere changes: flashing lights, slamming doors, flying objects. In the middle of the chaos, Roos appears, her best friend from the past – who should actually be dead. What starts as a ghost story slowly turns into a psychological nightmare. Sara is confronted with repressed feelings of guilt, psychotic hallucinations and ultimately her own mental abyss.

Style and atmosphere:
Think of a mix between Hereditary, The Babadook and Black Swan. Intimate, oppressive and with a strong focus on mental decline and inner horror. No cheap scares, but a slow, subcutaneous build-up of tension with a poignant ending.

Please note: This project is in development phase. We are currently working on a powerful trailer/teaser to convince funds, film houses and production companies of the potential of the full script. The final trailer will be professionally produced and used as pitch material for financing the full feature film.
