Due to a last-minute cancellation, we are urgently looking for an actor aged 40 or older for a role in our graduation film Mister President. We will be shooting this coming Sunday evening in The Hague.

The role concerns the chauffeur of the prime minister. A small but meaningful role with a few sentences, in which facial expressions and charisma are especially important. The chauffeur looks with disapproval and mystery at the main character - a man who has sacrificed everything to reach the top.

Mr. President is a political tragicomedy about power, moral decay and the illusion of control. The story is set in contemporary Dutch politics and is inspired by series such as Succession and House of Cards.

In the closing scene of the film, we see Jimmy de Lange, the recently elected leader of his party, driving back after his 'victory'. But it is a bittersweet victory: in order to be elected, he had to deny his ideals. No one is waiting for him at home - his wife and daughter are temporarily staying with her parents and refuse to see him. Jimmy is left behind on their doorstep, alone and tragic, with the highest job in the country.
