"Adieu Simone" tells the story of a meeting between two loners in the city. Filip, a 30-year-old man adopted from India, becomes involved in the identification process of Simone, a homeless woman in a coma. His compassion compels him not only to uncover her identity but also to reflect on his broken bond with his adoptive family.

The film's style could be described as contemplative, a reflection on the city, exploring loneliness and the connection between strangers. The dialogue is largely in Flemish and French, or a combination of the two.
