My name is Renee Jonkman. I'm a film student, and I want to apply to the Netherlands Film Academy together with director Noah. We have to make a short film, which we've chosen as "Dear Sammy." Below, you can read a brief description of the story.

A man spends his evenings in silence. He sits in front of the television, beer in hand, routine and empty. When he goes to the kitchen for a new bottle, his gaze falls on a photo of his deceased wife hanging on the refrigerator. Her smile touches him deeply: pain and love at the same time.
He finds an overturned box. While tidying up, he discovers a cassette tape with the words "For when I'm gone." His breath catches.
His wife's voice fills the room: she tells him she'd known she was ill for some time, but had kept quiet about it to avoid burdening him. She expresses her love and asks him to move on with his life. The man listens, broken. Silence fills the room. Then he opens a cabinet and takes out a box of medicine. His eyes fill with tears.
The screen fades to black. His wife's fragile voice still sounds briefly: "...but don't come too soon."

The story sheds light on loneliness and coping with grief. With the film, we also try to make it clear that people close to you who have lost someone can also struggle with loneliness and mental health issues.

Description
We're looking for a woman between 50 and 60 to voice Sammy's wife. We're looking for someone who can speak sensitively and emotionally. Ideally, you'll portray a mix of joy, as you talk about the past, and emotion, as you talk about "your" illness, for example.
