Petit Four is a coming-of-age psychological drama with satirical and absurdist undertones. The film follows Nathalie, who, during her perfectly organized eighteenth birthday party, becomes increasingly entangled in the fear of not being good enough, until the facade breaks down and proves to be exactly what she needed to find herself again.
The short film explores the pressure to be perfect and how it affects young girls. Only when they let go of that pressure do they find freedom and self-acceptance. The style is inspired by the 1950s and 1960s.
We are looking for actors for the roles of Nathalie and her mother Georgina.

NATHALIE (18 years old):
Nathalie has brown hair and always looks well-groomed, neat, and composed, as if she constantly wants to exude control. She is kind, gentle, and avoids conflict. Keeping peace is a priority for her, which makes it difficult for her to set boundaries and, as a result, quickly forgets herself. Due to the high pressure from her perfectionist mother and her own need to please everyone, Nathalie is an extreme perfectionist. She performs exceptionally well and seems like the ideal girl, but maintaining that image is becoming increasingly difficult.

Beneath her calm, sweet demeanor lies an insecure girl afraid of not being good enough. She strives hard to be perfect, but at the same time, she's increasingly losing touch with what she wants. Nathalie is a combination of vulnerability, suppressed emotions, and a quiet, intense drive to do things "right," even if it breaks her.

GEORGINA (50 years old):
Georgina is Nathalie's mother with dark brown hair and an always well-groomed appearance.
She is tall, slender, and moves with a confident, controlled demeanor. Her appearance is neat and businesslike, yet aloof. Nothing ever seems wrong with her; everything seems perfect. Georgina is intimidating, a perfectionist, and controlling. Everything in Georgina's life revolves around control, and she projects this onto her daughter. Her critical behavior stems from an old fear of failing again and not being good enough. Therefore, she demands the same level of perfection from Nathalie that she once had to strive for. Georgina believes she is preparing Nathalie for a good future, but fails to recognize that her parenting style is precisely what is slowly breaking her daughter.
