For a modern, surreal interpretation of the story of Orpheus, we are looking for an actress (20-35) to play the role of the goddess Persephone. She will use Orpheus's music to convince Hades to release Eurydice.

The story contains the same familiar elements from the story of Orpheus, with a poisoned Eurydice, and Orpheus who wants to bring her back from the underworld and isn't allowed to look back while retrieving her, but ultimately does so anyway. We've incorporated some modern elements in place of the old ones. Although we'll be using standard acting methods (read: The Meisner "Method"), the environments themselves will be impressionistic in nature.

Description
Persephone is a goddess with a warm presence. She sympathizes with Orpheus and enjoys listening to his play. She is also one of the few extras who can soothe Hades. She eventually convinces Hades to let Orpheus play for them in exchange for Eurydice's life, but of course, there's a snake lurking in the grass.
