When teenagers commit a crime and are arrested, they deserve fair treatment and appropriate help for any problems they may be experiencing, such as domestic violence. Our research aims to contribute to this, and you can help.
In our research at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, we are videotaping interviews between Child Protection Council (CPS) or Juvenile Probation Service staff and arrested young people. These interviews are then viewed by actual CPS or Juvenile Probation Service staff. Based on these observations, they assess the problems the young person is experiencing in life and the likelihood of reoffending.

What do we offer?

Description
We are looking for actors who would like to play the role of a young person between the ages of 12 and 18 who has committed a crime.
We are looking for approximately 12 boys and 3 girls from various origins, including the Netherlands, other parts of Europe, North and South Africa, and West Asia.

What is expected of you?
• You act in at least 2 acted interview clips (10-15 minutes per clip).
• You will receive information in advance about the fictional crime, the young person's background and the interview questions.
• You can choose to improvise or work with a script.
• You bring an appropriate outfit for the young person you are playing.
