Theatre company 'De Gestampte Meisjes' is working on a new musical production that will tour throughout the country. In this new performance, they address polarization, specifically the themes of 'turning a blind eye' vs. 'activism'. Please note, the performance ultimately carries a predominantly left-wing message (empathy, turning a blind eye is a privilege, care for nature and humanity, etc.). If this clashes with your beliefs, then this may not be the project for you.

In a video preceding a protest song, we see various people being asked about societal issues such as migration policy, nature conservation, healthcare, the war in the Middle East, etc. Initially, the interviewees react very harshly and in a manner perceived as 'right-wing'. When pressed further, you notice that the people have not fully delved into the situation. That they may not be angry at 'others', but perhaps angry at their life situation. After that, they might actually just want a hug. In other words, the harsh opinion is nuanced.

What starts as an exciting video ends mildly comical and hopeful.
