Boris wakes up in a simulation together with his AI friend Alvis. Alvis is not human and therefore thinks only of his own self-interest; he wants to continue existing, even if that comes at Boris's expense. As Boris tries to discover where Alvis's loyalty lies, he faces a choice that puts more than just their friendship at stake.

For our final film of the Film Education minor at Fontys Eindhoven, we are looking for two actors for this absurd story about betrayal and friendship.

Role: Boris I The ambitious and smart Boris takes his work very seriously. He has been working on AI in the form of Alvis for years. He is fairly introverted, the ultimate 'guy next door'; he does have friends but misses a real, deep connection. He has tried to find that in Alvis. He finds making new connections difficult, but with Alvis, he is at ease.

What we are looking for: man/woman/x - playing age 28-32 - comfortable acting in emotionally intense scenes


Role: Alvis | Alvis is an Artificial Intelligence test model developed by the company where Boris works. He is part of an experiment to develop a kind of AI friend, a system capable of simulating human social contact that is intended to become increasingly personal in its interactions. Within the story, Alvis appears in the form of a person, but his behavior and interaction with Boris show that he is not a 'normal' person. Alvis also feels no emotions or empathy.

What we are looking for: man/woman/x - playing age 25-40
