I was born in Merksem on November 24, 1966. From the age of eight I attended music school for three years and from 1974 to 1994 I played in various concert and fanfare orchestras. I was also a percussionist in several drum & show bands.
During this period I was certified twice by Fedekam.
At a young age I was aware that music would become a big part of my life and that I would one day make it my profession.
I took singing lessons with Ingrid Pollet for a year and then I also took a media training course. Then I was also part of a ball orchestra for a while.
I also started to become more and more creative and that resulted in writing songs, poems, sketches, jokes, monologues and even a script for a short film.
I also provided presentation work on various stages for all kinds of events and company performances.
The show bug really got to me and since 2009 I have been doing all kinds of figurative work for films and soaps. After an acting training (initiation course), I ended up in the theater, after which a few guest roles followed in 'Familie' and 'Zone Stad' (both VTM), with the icing on the cake - a notable debut in the feature film 'Linkeroever' .
I was also the permanent Stage Manager in the 'Muziektoppers' program for eight weeks. I came into contact with many Flemish celebrities, many of whom I can now address by their first names.
Last year I also designed the revue: 'Lachte golle gere & Showtime', an original evening-filling show program with a lot of humor.
In addition, I can warmly recommend my other show 'The Marco Martinez show' to all organizers. Top-notch animation, interaction with the audience and many hilarious characters are part of this program that I have already performed several times in 2011.
2011 is a special year for me. I have been performing on stage for 25 years now and I don't know when to stop.
Since January 2012 I have been following a film & theater course at BOAZ, teacher Eddy Vereycken.
I really enjoy entertaining people and wish I could climb the Flemish stages even more.
