about me
India Zahra Lyell is a 25-year-old actor and performer based in Amsterdam. She works across film, theatre, and interdisciplinary performance, with experience both in front of and behind the camera. This dual perspective allows her to understand her position on set clearly and work efficiently with directors, DPs, and production teams.

She speaks native Dutch, native British English (upper class accent), and good German. She is also a proficient dancer in multiple styles, with her base being in classical ballet.

India trained as an all-round filmmaker at the European Film College and completed a BA Liberal Arts & Sciences (Honours) at Maastricht University, including five months at Waseda University Tokyo.

Since 2019, India has been part of the internationally touring interdisciplinary show Lady Joker, where she also works as Artistic Director and performer. This work has strengthened her stage presence, movement skills, improvisation range, and ability to perform in highly visual, physical, and emotionally expressive environments.
