Hi!

My name is Tom Brock (03-04-1998). Graduated journalist, with a great love for video and an even greater love for presenting and interviewing.

First let us introduce ourselves:

Since 2017 I have gained experience as a video maker in the broadest sense of the word. I made my first meters at BredaNu, the local broadcaster of Breda, where I presented my own youth program. In this I went looking for undiscovered talent so that they could show their qualities to the rest of the world. Later I presented for Kunstbende and did many street interviews.
Despite the fact that I knew early on that presenting and interviewing are my great passions, I consciously chose to also gain experience in all other facets that the media profession has to offer. All this to become a more complete maker.

That's how I started as a freelancer in the media, I made many flying hours as a camera journalist/editor, I finished my Journalism studies, I gave media workshops at secondary schools, I made my own documentary and I filmed/edited medical surgery videos. In '19/20 I was also one of the twenty-five young media makers from all over the Netherlands, who were allowed to develop further in various disciplines at the TV Academy in Amsterdam. Here we worked a lot with Talpa and we received master classes from the best people in the media industry.

Over the past two years, I have enjoyed working for Academy Pictures, a content production company in Amsterdam. I started as a project manager for an online student platform (@spoton.mondriaan), where I was the point of contact for students/schools/external parties, supervised interns, planned events/shooting days and was ultimately responsible for all video content on social media. At the beginning of 2024, I became production manager at Academy Pictures and produced video series for the Dutch government and various educational parties. In this role, I also played a role in the concept phase, managed the shooting days/conducted the interviews and supervised the editing/took part of the edit myself. My focus is currently on various freelance assignments and I am completely ready for a new challenge.

Well, that was it in a nutshell!

Creativity, improvisation, out of the box thinking and entertaining/informing people (in front of a camera) are my strongest points. I like a challenge, want to be meaningful to others and strive for the very best.
