about me
I graduated as a director from the HKU in 2022. In my graduation year I directed the short documentary 'GLOW' (debut competition NFF) as well as the short fiction film 'Tell Me I'm Wrong (VPRO, NFF student competition). After graduating, I directed the short fiction film 'Tomorrow we will do it better' (IFFR, 2024) and I was also selected for Dockwerk, a talent program from NTR and Van Osch Films in which I am guided in making documentaries.

trackrecord
In 2022, two of my films premiered at the Dutch Film Festival. My graduation film Tell Me I'm Wrong, which is about the friendship between an Iranian refugee and a Dutch student. And my documentary GLOW premiered in the debut competition. This short documentary is about the Ukrainian Yusuf, who transforms into his drag alter-ego Grizolda during the endless wait in the asylum seeker center. In 2024, my new fiction film 'Tomorrow we will do better' premiered at the IFFR.
