about me
ABOUT ME: https://veronika.komi.io

I know that my acting experience is not very extensive. However, even though I didn't have the chance to acquire appropriate education, I took advantage of every opportunity to learn something and grow. Since I was a kid I have been always focused on music and singing - I have spent in this area more that 20 years. I have kept thinking that acting (although very interesting) is not for me, as I am introvert - but it was a mistake. One day I turned to acting with which I had some, minor previous experience. It allowed me to rediscover myself and find an extraordinary passion and joy that inexplicably affects my life (and mental health). I truly felt that this is the place where I am happy and to which I can devote the rest of my life. That's why I decided to dedicate myself to it, even if it can be little late in my life.
Professional acting workshops gave me the pleasure of working with the camera, script, very experienced actors and directors. Even though I didn't have similar experience, I had no problem keeping up with them because I have high adaptability skill, learn very quickly (especially in practice), and my passion makes me always ready to devote a lot of time to self-improvement - I got into advanced workshops without any prior experience, only on the basis of self-tape and positive reviews from directors and people I worked with. I managed to find out what type of character I am, for what productions I am the best fit and what acting technique suits me (my life experiences allow me to perfectly find myself in the Strasberg's and Stanislavski's method). I work a lot at home, on my own - I enjoy watching materials about behind-the-scenes work on a film set, with green screens; while watching films I keep observing an actor/actress and try to understand/imagine, how they are playing their roles or how their lines look like. I like watching people and analyze them, to understand their movements and behaviors what is very useful and later acting work.
I know that there are some points against me: my age or the fact that I am not-native English speaker. But I believe that there is nothing that cannot be learned, with appropriate determination and hard work. Wajda, Warner Brothers, Pola Negri or Polański - are the best prove of it. I know what responsibility is and I am not a conflict person. I understand the idea of teamwork, I realize that there are more important goals (e.g. business-related) then only please myself. I am fully devoted for my work (especially since I feel obliged to someone who gave me a chance) and flexible as I do not have commitments - for a serious acting career I am ready to leave my current professional career and relocate wherever necessary. I think these things are as important as having extensive acting skills, especially that they are not easy to learn.
I hope to further develop my passion and knowledge. See what theory looks like in practice. Learning how to be better actor and work on myself, even when it seems that I know everything. I believe that every opportunity is a breakthrough point and huge experience for me. I always use the rule 'If you want - you'll find a way, if you do not want - you'll find a reason'. I always want.
