My name is Tamisha Hayford. I was born on 27-09-1994. Acting has been my passion since primary school. I regularly participated in school productions, for which I had to audition. I was cast several times for a leading role. Including the musical Oliver Twist (role: Oliver) with various performances in the Fijnhouttheater.
From 2007-2012 I took theatre lessons at the Amsterdam Youth Theatre School (AJTS). This is where I gained most of my experience.
In addition to the annual final presentations, which took place in the Rozentheater, I also played a leading role in the production "In de ban van Richard", based on a story by Shakespeare, in 2010. My role was the mother of Richard III. We gave various performances of this production in theaters in Amsterdam and Zaandam.
In 2013 I did a workshop with Paul Keurvers, (film producer) at The Works Actors Academy. As preparation you learned some texts by heart and played well-known scenes from films and series such as Pulp Fiction, The Messenger and GTST. We also recorded TV commercials, such as BCC and Spa bronwater.
My teachers/mentor AJTS gave me the following feedback: “a powerful actor, who knows how to captivate the audience with her acting; good expression and good timing; good in working with other actors and director; a beautiful natural expression, which allows you to portray a character credibly.
Paul Keurver gave me feedback that I have a fresh look for commercials and film and he also emphasized my credibility as an actress.
Acting is still my passion and I would like to further develop my talent and passion.
