I, Joost Buitenweg, was born on May 24, 1967 in Amsterdam.
After high school I auditioned at the drama school where I was rejected, and then followed the HBO study in acting methodology in which I graduated. During this study I auditioned with Toneelgroep Amsterdam for the play: 'Spring awakening', for which I wanted to be accepted. This play brought me to the attention of media and casting agents.
After this 'discovery', I was the very first soap villain in the Netherlands for more than two years: Rien Hoogendoorn, in 'Good times, bad times'.
After that you saw me in various series such as: 12 cities 13 accidents, The club, Women's wing, and he played in films in Belgium and England.
