After completing the Professional Development Diploma Intensive Acting at Chichester College in 2005, Niek Teunissen was awarded the achievement award and the London Academy for Music and Dramatic Arts golden medal. Niek graduated from the NFTA, Production, class 2012.
He graduated with the arthouse film "9/11 A Love Story" and the high concept children's film "The Club of Ugly Children", which premiered in Royal Theater Carré. Upon graduation, he won the FPN Producers Award (creative entrepreneurship ), NCP Audience Award (best film according to visitors) and the Amsterdam University of the Arts Graduation Award (creative entrepreneurship).
Niek was co-producer of the Barnfilms foundation of Katja Schuurman, Thijs Römer, Raymond Spanjar, Femke Halsema, Rob Wijnberg and Maarten van Huijsstee, with whom they made the single play "Guilty Movie" in 2012 (RTL4). He also made “The Superhero Sweater” (Human), the documentary “Geef me's wrong” (NCRV), the NTR Kort! “Uit de Kast” and they co-produced the cinema film “Pijnstillers” (KRO).
