My name is Ingrid Bishop. I was born in Enschede, but moved to Amsterdam since 2000 and have been a film set fan ever since. In Amsterdam, acting on the film set started 21 years ago and since then every day on the set has been a new adventure for me. Acting gave me the opportunity to meet new people and to work with special people that I would otherwise never have met. Moreover, playing at special locations that I might never have discovered otherwise.
Special highlights for me were being allowed to stand on the film set as an extra with top actors such as George Clooney, Matt Damon and Brad Pitt for the big film hit Ocean's Twelve and with Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson for the big film hit Hitman's bodyguard, but also with commercials such as attending the living room concert in pianist Wibi Soerjadi's beautiful villa.
The film set virus had completely seized me. Especially after I was noticed on the set and it was indicated that I should continue acting. I then followed a few master classes such as camera acting and trauma acting, after which I started acting in corporate films, commercials, medical protocol cases and e-learning programs.
At GTST I regularly come across the image as a permanent nurse. And after 2 small roles in a student film, I auditioned for my first real supporting role in a World War 2 film, “Treacherous Love” which is expected to be shown in theaters in April 2022. Participating in a permanent team time after time and going on a gigantic project together has increased my love for the set even more. As a cast and crew member, I learned so much on this film set and committed myself on all fronts, both in front of the camera with acting and behind the camera with extra guidance, assistance in production management, and crew catering.
After this I got the chance to participate in a film team at 48 hrs projects. I acted again and was behind the camera as 2nd assistant director. For now I can't choose what I like more, being in front of or behind the camera.
In the meantime I keep busy with projects for e-learning programs.
