My name is Ilse Lenstra, and I'm an actress, writer, and film and theater maker. Over the past few years, I've gained extensive experience in the field. Since high school, I've played (leading) roles on stage, and for the past five years, I've also appeared in music videos, short videos, and short films. I graduated from the ArtEZ Academy of Theatre and Dance in 2025.

In March 2024, I worked with a small team to create the short film "Nobody Knows" for the 48-hour film project in Arnhem. I played a leading role in it. The film won 10 awards, including Best Film, and was subsequently screened in Seattle, where it won two additional awards.

In recent years I have also appeared in two video clips for the Swedish band Chunda Bomb, in both of which I played the lead role.
In the spring of 2023, I worked as a directing intern at Female Economy, on the production "Women in the Bath." I then performed in the production "Cheikats," also by Female Economy, directed by Adelheid Roosen and Ola Mafaalani.

During that period I also performed in the performance PONZI by art collective Nachtmotten and in the performance CTRL_ALT_PRIVACY by theatre company Linea Rekta, directed by Jordi Kwakkel.

In 2024 I wrote, co-directed and starred in my own graduation solo.

I currently work as an actress at Theater KRIJT in Zwolle and at my own foundation, Bizart. For Theater KRIJT, I perform for children ages 3 and up, and for Bizart, starting in September, I'll be performing for secondary school students.
