My name is Jefferson. I graduated from the Amsterdam Theatre School and Cabaret Academy as a multidisciplinary artist. My work combines acting, music, performance, visual arts, and production, where for me, creative work equates to responsibility for the whole: content-wise, practically, and collaboratively.
After graduating, I joined a creative agency primarily active in the music and cultural sectors. There, I work as a project manager, focusing on project management, strategy, and coaching artists and creative teams. Parallel to this, I recently became a (co-)director of an NGO in Ghana, where I work on international projects at the intersection of culture, development, and community building.
These roles emerged directly from my graduation project, The Centre of the Storm: a project that brought together intergenerational trauma, postcolonialism, artistic research, leadership, and production. Based on this experience, I'm currently developing my own business venture under the name The House of Grideon Company, with the ambition to realize sustainable, multidisciplinary projects.
My focus for the coming year is on deepening and completing my own work: further developing The Centre of the Storm, developing a second album, writing and developing a series concept, and organizing community-driven events like Jefferson's Jam. I'm also actively involved in mentoring, supporting, and coaching talented individuals.
