Hi, I'm Imme! I'm a trained creative writer (BA English and MA Creative Writing in England) and write a lot of short fiction. During my master's degree, I wrote the manuscript for my first novel, but after my studies I actually started experimenting with other writing forms. In 2018, I was longlisted for the Grote Lowlands Schrijfwedstrijd with my Dutch-language story 'Gember'. In fiction, I often focus on creating atmosphere and I like difficult communication between characters who don't give their all. Because of my love for atmosphere, I am now working on translating a short story into a script. In short, a lot of different expressions! In the past, I have often worked on sets as a model and get a lot of energy from 'making' in teams. This time I would like to gain experience off-screen, preferably in production. I have a natural talent for organization and would like to use this to help. Working together to create a beautiful cinematic end product seems fantastic to me!
