I am a dancer, dance teacher, performer, choreographer, dance therapist and movement coach. Specializing in African Modern dance. My performances are intense, powerful, energetic, intimate and challenging and I involve people in the story I want to convey. Performances done in: Contemporary dance, Burlesque, African traditional dance, African modern dance, Jazz and improvisation
I followed my professional dance training in African Modern and Traditional Dance in Senegal (l'Ecole des Sables, led by Germaine Acogny) and Burkina Faso (Ecole de Danse Irène Tassembédo, EDIT) and dance internships and performances in Ghana, Ivory Coast and Senegal, Africa.
In 2018 I produced the first Dutch African Modern dance production in the Netherlands, called 'RODÉ – Home without borders'. And in 2019 my second production in Senegal called 'Rien n'est plus beau que la vérité'. And in 2021 my second Dutch / international production 'L'U L'A' in collaboration with Meervaart Theater Amsterdam.
Currently working at dance collective ISH, theater de Meervaart Amsterdam, Codarts dance academy Rotterdam and Aslan music center.
