Merel Noorlander (b. 1984) is a Dutch artist based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (2007) at the Fine Arts, painting department. Her work combines 2D and 3D in collages, installations, video and theatre design. Born out of the cut and paste generation of Dutch television culture, she feeds her curiosity by discovering found objects, moments, images, tales and sounds from flea markets, book stores and black & white film, altering their semantics in the outcome of her projects.
