About me
Zouhair Mtazi (born August 3, 1980) in Breda is a versatile actor with Moroccan roots who, in addition to acting, is also involved in writing and directing.
Zouhair appeared as an actor in popular TV series such as PENOZA and FLIKKEN MAASTRICHT, where he had a guest role. He had a leading role in AAS (48Hour Film Project) by Ellard Vasen. 48Hour Film Project is a competition that ran in various cities worldwide. Here Zouhair played in 4 productions, 2 of which he set up. In addition to TV and film, he played in theater productions LA VIE C'EST DOLE and POWER TO THE PEOPLE by Theater Group Dox and in CASA by Suzanne Reindersma. In 2010 he had a leading role in FIRE DANCERS by Jeroen Wijnen. Zouhair can also be seen in commercials for USG and RABOBANK, among others, and the video clip for ANNELORE FT. YS & BAY BAY, PLAYERZ.
The music video PLAYERZ was written and directed by Zouhair himself. In addition to this video clip, he has also been the director of THE DEAL, a short Moroccan film, and has written for REWIND, a short film still in development.
After attending various workshops with Joost Buitenweg, Roel Twijstra and Jolanda Spoel, among others, he completed the two-year Talent Development Traject of Theater Group Dox from 2010. In 2012 he attended several workshops by Benji Reid and Ingrid Wender, among others, and this year (2013) he will start the private part-time Actor course at De Acteerschool Rotterdam.
